An opportunity exists for a seasoned HR professional to take on a comprehensive generalist role supporting a facility services workforce of over 150 employees. This position involves managing diverse HR functions in a fast-paced environment, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce development, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel at building productive relationships at all organizational levels, thrive in a dynamic setting with shifting priorities, and be motivated to contribute to organizational goals while fostering positive community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through development and retention.
- Ensure accuracy of payroll, personnel records, and HRIS data.
- Support labor relations through grievance tracking, research, and negotiations assistance.
- Coordinate training initiatives, compliance activities, and workforce development programs.
- Represent the organization at career fairs and community outreach events to strengthen employer branding.
- Advise employees and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Prepare reports, analyze HR data, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years in an HR generalist or related role, with union environment experience preferred.
- Fluent bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) is required to effectively engage a diverse workforce.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees, leaders, and labor representatives.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; Google Workspace experience is a plus.
- Skilled at multitasking, problem-solving, and working independently in a fast-paced setting.
