Operations Manager
Location: NJ
Salary: $150,000-$250,000

Operations:   Create, optimize and manage operations beginning with production and logistics to ensure global operations have the highest quality products and reliable inventory that is timely shipped to the customers. Lay the foundation for scalable operations with consistent, sustainable systems and processes.  Analyze the data and recommend internal or external suppliers and, when using external suppliers, negotiate profitable contracts with them.  Create and achieve strategic and tactical plans for aggressive profit goals utilizing best practices and continuous improvements in operations, production, logistics, technology, cost controls, and effective use of resources including labor, equipment and materials. Ensure optimal production, forecasts and inventory are accurate, costs are controlled, and logistics is efficient. Work collaboratively providing meaningful reports utilizing analysis, data, recommendations and suggested corrective actions.

Financial Management:  Financial acumen and practical knowledge of financial aspects for operations including budgets, margins, labor, materials, inventory, costs, forecasts, inventory. Ability to use financial and other data and analytics for trends and variances.

Leadership:  Share your passion and expertise by developing each direct report to maximize their contribution to be a high performing, results oriented team member.  Demonstrate, communicate and promote professionalism, expertise, best practices, accountability, results, profitability, corporate goals, and the value of a workforce.


  • A minimum of five (5) years of international experience successfully and continuously optimizing operations in the horticulture supply chain including production, logistics, inventory, and quality while increasing profits and controlling costs.
  • A four-year degree in a related field is preferred.
