Head Grower Manager

Operations:  Optimize and manage growing operations, processes and procedures from planning and propagation to finished products including forecasts, schedules, fertility, production, environment, plant health, productivity, personnel, safety, and lean inventory in variable weather and seasons.

Collaborate with sales, operations and internal departments and adapt production to ensure profitability and LEAN operations as well as customer satisfaction.

Implement best practices, technology and automation that improves plant health, quality and reduces shrink and costs.
Analyze crops from propagation to finished product and determine optimized environment, planting, growing, irrigation, pest control, fertilizer, harvesting, grading, inventory, storage, and shipment.
Early identification and resolution of challenges.

Financial Management: Business acumen to achieve revenue and profit goals managing budget, production, equipment, labor, materials, inventory, and costs with accountability.

Leadership: Share your passion and expertise for horticulture by leading and developing a high performance, results oriented team focused on best practices, profitability, accountability, maximizing their contribution and becoming future leaders.
Train for profitability and efficiencies in all aspects from planning, plant health, production, inventory, and finishing products.
Demonstrate, communicate, and promote professionalism, expertise, best practices, accountability, ethics, results, profitability, corporate goals, and the value of a workforce.

Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of successful experience managing and growing a horticulture/agriculture operation with four seasons and a track record of success increasing revenue and profitability through effective growing practices, developing personnel, and lean inventory management.
A degree in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field from a four-year university and Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
