Are you passionate about developing a region and growing market share? This industry-leading, rapidly expanding, full-service landscape construction company, is looking for an incredibly talented, highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive business growth by identifying and generating new profitable business opportunities.

  • Grow the market share in the region by developing new business with diverse private and public clients
  • Create plans and programs to be a high-performance, aggressive business development Hunter who follows up on all leads, identifies prospects to increase an already robust sales pipeline, creates client relationships, and successfully closes the sale.
  • Establish sustainable and scalable business development processes and procedures along with continuous improvement and use of cutting-edge technology to refine business development.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Marketing and Estimating to ensure effective marketing strategy and messaging along with timely completion of estimates.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of communication with clients and prospects.
  • Maintain current, accurate information in the company’s CRM regarding the sales pipeline, the status of prospects, client meetings, contract scope, and estimates along with meaningful periodic reports.
  • Meet or exceed established goals and KPIs by managing and completing the sales cycle effectively.
  • Participating in external activities such as attending industry functions, association meetings, conferences, and trade shows to raise brand recognition and generate potential leads.
  • Demonstrate, communicate, and promote customer service, best practices, accountability,
    integrity, ethics, performance, growth, profitability, corporate goals, corporate culture and
    the value of the workforce
  • Stay current on construction-related trends and developments, such as methods of operation, procedures, and swift changes in the industry.

Experience

At least 5 years of successful regional business development experience with high energy, measurable,
aggressive results and a track record of successfully increasing an already robust pipeline of
qualified prospects, creating meaningful customer relationships, increasing demand and
sales, and closing profitable contracts for the landscape construction industry.

  • A four-year technical degree is preferred
  • Exposure to both private and public works and meaningful participation in industry associations is preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding established business goals, creating, and executing plans, creating a thriving ownership mentality culture, improving processes, implementing KPIs, problem-solving, decision-making, and strong financial and business acumen.
