Core Competency Requirements:.
Sound working knowledge of  UNIX architecture and excellent C programming skills. 

Should possess good debugging skills in the UNIX environment.  The person should be a fast learner.
Should have expertise in at least one core area like Kernel, Device drivers or Networking Protocol Stack.

Responsibilities will include requirements analysis, design, development and architecture for large projects related to server, storage and network virtualization in operating systems.

Core Competency Requirements:.

Should possess strong kernel debugging skills in the Unix environment.

(in areas of base operating system kernel, IO, device drivers, networking protocol stacks)

Experience in  leading teams from initial concept stage through the entire development life cycle is a plus

Good understanding and working knowledge on the UNIX libraries

Experience in security commands on UNIX systems including libraries, LDAP, Kerberos, ACL, and Trusted Computing.

Experience in Network device drivers and TCP/IP stack on Unix platforms.

Familiarity with kernel debuggers, protocol analyzers, UNIX command line tools

Strong C/C++/Java skills, Unix Internals,Oracle/DB2 skills

Prior experience in L3 Product Support or Product Development

3+ years of experience in OS internals / Unix Kernel

Good analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to comprehend and understand complex electro mechanical systems
